Summer Workshop Series

Discover, create, and connect through our Summer Workshop Series at the Centre for Food. From hands-on culinary classes in Bistro ’67 to unique farm and garden experiences, each session is designed to celebrate fresh ingredients, local flavours, and experiential learning in a fun and welcoming environment. Join us on the last Wednesday of each month to build new skills, explore seasonal topics, and experience field-to-fork learning firsthand.

 

GARDEN TO GOLDEN:  A TEMPURA WORKSHOP

Join Chef Jeremy for a hands-on evening to learn the secret to creating light, crispy tempura batter as you prepare shrimp, fresh vegetables from our garden, and even a tempura-inspired dessert, along with accompanying side dishes and dipping sauces.

After the workshop, participants will gather in Bistro ’67 to enjoy the meal they created together while building new culinary skills in a fun and welcoming environment.

$80 per participant, plus tax and service charge

The Art of Sourdough Workshop

$90 per participant, plus online ticket fee and tax

Join Chef Raul from Bistro '67 to learn the art of making sourdough bread from start to finish.

Guests will discover the techniques behind mixing, shaping, and baking a beautiful loaf, then leave with a freshly baked sourdough, a prepared dough to finish at home with step-by-step instructions, and a take-home sourdough kit featuring our B’67 starter, breadmaking tools, and a selection of DC honey and preserves.
